The City of Westminster launched a study of 72nd Avenue between Pierce Street and Zuni Streets in 2023. During Phase 1, the project team collected existing conditions data to inform a technical analysis of the corridor. The public and key stakeholders also provided initial feedback.

72nd Avenue is an important east-west connections to schools, businesses and services, neighborhoods, parks, open spaces, and trails, light rail and destinations beyond the City. However, the corridor is also a barrier to north-south travel, particularly for those walking and biking. We encourage you to review proposed concepts to improve connectivity, safety, comfort and travel efficiency for all modes of transportation. The concepts also feature exciting ways to revitalize the heart of historic Westminster as a welcoming and vibrant area of the community, supporting local businesses and the neighborhoods adjacent to the corridor.
