THIRD COMMUNITY SURVEY

Drawing from input from nearly 900 community members over the last year, the highlights of the draft Comprehensive Plan for Wiggins are now ready for your review and input! Please take the survey below to view the highlights (for parks, Downtown, economic development, infrastructure, and more) and provide your input. We look forward to hearing from you! Like the first two surveys, this survey is open to everyone in the area…you do not have to be a Wiggins resident to participate! Thank you!

Nearly 400 people took the first community survey for Wiggins Connected, and you can find the results here. Based upon these results, a new second survey presented a series of options and ideas for you to consider for the future of Wiggins, for future land uses, planning for Downtown, parks and open space, transportation, and other topics.

What is normally included in a Comprehensive Plan? What are the goals for Wiggins Connected?

Goals for Wiggins Connected:

  • Establish the overall vision for the overall Town of Wiggins for the next 20-plus years
  • Draw from broad community input in creating the new Comprehensive Plan
  • Establish key goals and actions to guide the community’s growth and evolution
  • Provide the foundation for follow-up projects to be completed by the Town of Wiggins to help achieve the vision for the Town

  • Community vision for Wiggins
  • Future land uses and development
  • Housing and Economic Development
  • Planning for multimodal transportation (driving, walking, biking, and taking transit)
  • Parks, trails, and open space
  • Infrastructure (water, sewer, stormwater, etc.)
