Help Shape a Safer Future for Our Region

The Pikes Peak region is coming together to make our roads safer for everyone who lives, works, and travels here. Through a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program, we’re creating a regional Safety Action Plan—a community-driven roadmap to reduce serious injuries and fatalities within El Paso, Teller, and Park counties.

Plan Goals

This plan will:

  • Identify areas with the greatest safety concerns
  • Prioritize improvements that can save lives
  • Support grant applications and funding for real-world projects

Regional Approach

By working together across multiple communities, we can tackle shared challenges like:

  • High-speed rural roadways
  • Tourism and recreation traffic
  • Limited resources and staff

A regional approach allows us to be smarter, more efficient, and better prepared for future funding opportunities.

Get Involved

Your experiences matter. We want to hear where you see safety issues. Use the interactive map below to drop a pin and share your input. Your feedback will help shape a safer future across the Pikes Peak region.

Communities

The City of Woodland Park is administering the federal grant, with PPACG leading the regional planning effort. Thirteen communities across El Paso, Park, and Teller counties are working together to support the creation of the Action Plan. This effort will collaborate with Colorado Springs and Fountain as they each lead their own separate Action Plans.
