A public meeting was held Dec. 10, 2026 at the Tripp County 4-H center. Meeting materials are listed below. Please use the below form to submit comments through Dec. 24.
Background
Tripp County does not currently have a Comprehensive Plan or Master Transportation Plan that captures the existing conditions and the emergent long-range planning opportunities. These transportation opportunities may include consensus gained around a share vision to prioritize investments and protect the transportation system of the future.
Without long-range plans that provide justification for expensive capital infrastructure projects, applications for Federal discretionary grant funding is also less likely to be competitive when compared to other applicant projects. Clarity and consistency in decision making about maintenance needs can also be provided through this planning process.
In addition to identifying priority projects based on criteria such as safety and state of good repair, the potential for addressing administrative processes and funding can also be addressed successfully by this study.
